Erick Rudolph NASCAR Whelen Modified Series Advance: New Hampshire Motor Speedway
Race: F.W. Webb 100
Track: New Hampshire Motor Speedway
Date: July 16, 2011

Heinke-Baldwin Racing (HBR) driver Erick Rudolph will compete in the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour (NWMT) at New Hampshire Motor Speedway this Saturday, July 16th. He will pilot the No. 98 Accell Construction/Tempo Graphics Chevrolet in the series' sixth race of the 2011 season.

NEW HAMPSHIRE MOTOR SPEEDWAY – Rudolph made five starts at New Hampshire Motor Speedway (NHMS) with an average finish of 20.2. He collected two top-10s and led a total of 16 laps at the track. Rudolph scored his best NHMS finish of seventh in 2008 in his racing debut at "The Magic Mile."

LAST RACE AT NHMS – Rudolph looked to be a contender early in the Fall 2010 race, wasting no time driving to the front from his ninth-place starting spot. Unfortunately, after leading 11 laps, Rudolph suddenly began to lose power on the straightaways. Ignition issues and other engine troubles eventually ended Rudolph's day on lap 83, ending a promising day with a disappointing 25th-place finish.

LAST RACE RECAP: THOMPSON – After starting sixth in the Budweiser 'King of Beers' 150 on June 30th, Rudolph fought through a bad pit stop and several on-track incidents to score a 15th-place finish at Thompson Motor Speedway. A long pit stop relegated Rudolph toward the rear of the field early in the race, and Rudolph spent much of the night trying to fight his way back through the field. Just as Rudolph was able to work his way back into the top-10, a car spun out in front of him, causing him to slow down and again lose the position he had regained. The incident proved to be costly, as Rudolph was never able to regain his track position. The Baldwinsville, N.Y., native settled for a 15th-place finish.

IN THE POINTS – After five races, Rudolph sits in ninth place in the NWMT Point Standings. Rudolph is five points behind eighth place and 155 points behind first.

ACCELL CONSTRUCTION – Accell Construction, Inc. will join the HBR team and adorn the No. 98 Chevrolet this weekend at NHMS. The sponsorship extends a relationship between sister company Tommy Baldwin Racing (TBR) and Accell Construction, as the company will sponsored TBR's No. 36 Chevrolet eleven times throughout the 2011 Sprint Cup Series season. The Oklahoma-based company is a full-service site civil contractor for the petroleum terminal and bulk storage industries. The company specializes in tank farm construction, tank foundations and other related site civil construction. For more information, visit www.AccellConstructionInc.com.

Erick Rudolph Quotes:

ON NEW HAMPSHIRE – "New Hampshire is a momentum track. We are running restrictor plates, so it is kind of a momentum thing. You have to work the draft a little bit. New Hampshire is a track where I have always had a good car, but I've never really finished where I deserved. I have incentive to finally have a good run there."

ON SHARING NHMS WITH THE NSCS – "Being at the track at the same time as the Sprint Cup Series is cool, but I have to look at it as any other weekend. I'm always out there to win. The biggest difference with the Sprint Cup Series at the track is the rubber on the track. Sometimes at the beginning of our session or race, it takes a while for our rubber to get back down on the track. If the Sprint Cup guys get on the track right before us, it takes awhile to figure out how the car is actually handling because the track is different."
